New 10 week session beginning Thursday, January 7th — Thursday, March 18th .
The adult and children's group meet every Thursday from 6—8pm. Meets at Grace Point Church (Mayhew Rd off of St Joe/Maplecrest/469)Adults Room 36 and Children Room 32
This is a wonderful support group for both adults and children who will be going through a divorce, going through a divorce now, or already are divorced.
We watch a DVD, go over a workbook, and have discussion of the topics. Examples of topics are Depression, Finances, Loneliness, Anger, etc. Join the group anytime; new topic each week.
The cost is $$12 for the adult workbook. If you have been in the class before, we are using the same workbook. .

Thursday, March 18th, 2010 - Big Brothers Big Sisters Annual Bowl for Kids Sake

CUrrently they are over 500 children waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister of their own.  OUr goal is to raise $$300,000 and recruit 300 mentors to match 300 children so that Big Brothers/Big Sisters can continue to turn little moments into big magic.

The upcoming event is FUN FUN FUN Everything from iPod shuffles to iPhones are in the prixe list. THe grand prize is : choice of : either an iPod classic with BOse soundDock sysltem or Apple TV system w/ 42' Sony or Samsung LCD HDTV.

For thie event, Big Brothers, Big Sisters is looking for people to form a team of five friends/co—workers, family members who want to help raise funds to support our progams. Each team member is encouraged to raise $$100 or more in pledges for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and then invited to celebrate making a difference with bowing , food and prizes.

Hicksville Mennonite Youth Group is having a 5 on 5 basketball pool play/ tournament on Mar. 19 evening & Mar. 20 all day. Entrance fee is $$200. Game sponsorship is $$50 ( a sign with your name or company will be placed in the gym) Concessions will be served.All prioceeds go for our mission trip to Ecuador in July. The Fraternal Order of Police, Associate Lodge #6 will be holding its 5^th annual “All you care to eat”, Pancake and Sausage Breakfast and Bake Sale on <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = 'urn:schemas—microsoft—com:office:smarttags' />Saturday, March 20, 2010, from 6:30 AM until 11:00. The event will be held at the F.O.P. Lodge, located at 2125 Olladale Drive. (Between State Street and Bass Rd. next to the P.A.L. complex) Adults

                                 Children $$3.00 (Ages 3 thru 12)

All proceeds from this event will go to the Community Events Programs which are sponsored by the FOP such as “Kops for Kids”, “Bicycle Helmet Give—away” and “Forgotten Families”.

Training classes will be helod at the South Connersville Yard Complex.

CLasses are conducted for eight successice Saturdays starting Feb 6th .

The primary purpose os to train new volunteer memvers to help operate the historic Whitehouse Valley Railroad. The class is not inteded to train railroaders for professional jobs, but a number do go onto careers in this field.
